About The Drifting Moon Tarot

Hi! My name is Lee White and I'm a professional illustrator. I've teamed up with Grace Selene to create a magical new tarot deck called "The Drifting Moon Tarot".

 Throughout my career, I've always had a love for storytelling. Illustrating a tarot deck has been a dream of mine for years while I worked on illustrations for other professional jobs. Finally, after 20 years of putting other work first, I decided it was time to make this deck.

What I love about tarot cards is the themes embody all of life itself. Themes that have been around for thousands of years are just as valid today as they will be a thousand years from now. Traditional tarot decks can be somewhat serious and repetitive. But my work is fun and playful.

I like to make images that take you back to the magical feeling you had when you were a kid. Images that make you slow down and smile. With that in mind, I started creating the Drifting Moon Tarot from scratch. I wanted to really investigate what the cards mean and how I can show that meaning in a new and unexpected way.

Each card is its own complete story. With each card I wrote, sketched, and researched… History, symbolism, analogy, allegory. But. This wasn't just an academic approach to making this deck, I daydreamed a lot too. I listened to what the cards wanted to be.

We wanted intuition to be a huge component of what went into each card. And after many attempts and refinements over the past 15 months, we’re very proud to share this deck with you.
